Healthy Seeds

Seeds and grains provide a wealth of nutritional benefits. They are high in Iron, vitamin E and Zinc, as well as being a source of protein. Adding them to flour and bread can only be a good thing!

Hovis® Multiseed contains a mixture of seeds, contributing to a great overall taste and bringing additional health benefits too. Granary® also contains malted wheat flakes to give the flour its unique flavour.

The following seeds can all be found in Hovis® Multiseed:

Linseed/flaxseeds

Known to be rich in healthy oils, especially in omega 3, flaxseed is also a good source of potassium and rich in fibre.

Sunflower seeds

An outstanding source of antioxidant vitamin E, sunflower seeds also supply good amounts of folate (folic acid) and other B vitamins, as well as minerals including copper, magnesium, and selenium.

Millet

Although it is not a seed millet is rich in essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals.

Poppy seeds

Valued for the oil containing polyunsaturated fatty acids, including omega 3, poppy seeds can also add a pleasant nutty flavour to a wide variety of food products.
