Rank Hovis' Robin Biesok competes to be best Young Baker in BBC Three programme

In 2011 Robin Biesok (Rank Hovis Bakery Technologist) entered the BBC Young Baker of the Year competition, after seeing off most of the competition he made it to the final 4. Their progress will be televised by BBC Three kicking off on Sunday 29th January at 8pm.

BBC3's Young Talent is the show that searches for the hard working young people. Young Baker is the quest to find the the most inspirational young baker in the UK. The programme is hosted by George Lamb (pictured here with Robin) and will be judged by Gizzi Erskine (food writer and presenter and fabulous beehive-wearer!) and Gerhard Jenne (master baker and proprietor of Konditor and Cook bakery in London).

The contestants were allowed key people in their "back room" and Robin was lucky enough to talk Colin Lomax out of retirement to be there for support.
