Rank Hovis use baking expertise to raise money for Help for Heroes

Help for Heroes is Premier Foods corporate charity this year and at Rank Hovis we used our bakery know-how to organise a series of cake sales at a number of our sites to raise money for this well loved charity.  

The cake sales were in conjunction with The Colossal Cake Sale, which is an annual event organised by H4H. It first launched in 2008 with 7 events held around the UK, with more and more taking place each year since then. 

Our expert bakers as well as many Rank Hovis employees baked eye-catching and delicious treats that were sold throughout the day at our mills and head office. At the High Wycombe sale, punters were also tempted with confectionery that was baked using flour from the Rank Hovis Originals range! 

A massive thank-you goes out to everyone who took the time to bake and more importantly to those who bought cakes on the day! From the sales at High Wycombe and Southampton we raised almost £850 and Premier Foods as a whole rose in the region of £4000, an amazing amount of money that will go towards helping service men and women who have been wounded in Britain’s current conflicts.
