Rank Hovis, the UK's leading miller, provides information for students wanting to know more about studying and learning the trade of craft bakery. We also provide fun, educational material that is suitable for children and people of all ages who want to know a bit more about flour, milling and bread.
As the UK's leading flour miller, we feel it is our duty to work both directly and with partners to play an active role in developing baking industry training and education.
Within the Rank Hovis team there are staff who put a lot of time and effort into helping young people into the industry, and developing the skills of those already in the trade.
Hovis and Granary Competition
Every year the Hovis and Granary Competition is held at the annual Alliance of Bakery Students and Trainees (ABST) conference. Hundreds of students enter every year, It is open to all ages and competitors enter loaves into both the Hovis and Granary competition classes.
