On the 30th April 2005 The Hovis
and Granary competition was held at the National Federation of
Bakery Student Societies/IBB Alliance annual conference in Scarborough.
270 UK college students entered both the Hovis and Granary competition
classes – with 530 loaves made in total. Each loaf was cut
and judged with prizes given to the best three and commendation
certificates awarded to the runners up.
Overall the competition saw excellent standards of baking from
all the colleges that participated. Well done to this year’s
entries and good luck for next year
