Hovis & Granary Competition

Every year the Hovis and Granary Competition is held at the annual Alliance of Bakery Students and Trainees (ABST) conference.

Hundreds of students enter every year, and this year saw a record amount of entries with 363 applicants! It is open to all ages and competitors entering loaves into both the Hovis and Granary competition classes, and every year the competition showcases excellent standards of baking from all colleges who enter students.

All loaves are assessed and judged by skilled Rank Hovis bakers, and cash prizes are awarded to the winners. Commendations and certificates are also awarded to the runners up.
